So, the day I have been anticipating for several months is almost here!  At the end of last year, I sold my prior digital SLR, an Olympus E-600.  While I was satisfied with the equipment overall, and the camera helped produce some awesome shots, I kept feeling a nagging problem--or two, to be exact--with some of the light/color balancing and with the focus quality, especially when shooting in the fully automatic mode.  So, after much research and deliberation, I have settled on its replacement:  the Canon EOS 7D, at the top of the non-professional range.  And, thanks to a nice annual bonus from work coming this week, I'll be able to pick up s

So I returned from Germany at the end of May and am still working through the hundreds of pictures I took, a couple of which I've already posted here.  I have another great picture from Dachau that still requires a bit of editing before it's good enough for DA, and I have a lot more coming this summer. If only I didn't have to go to work 40 hours a week...

So, es sind nur noch 5 Wochen bis Deutschland...just 5 weeks to go before I land in Frankfurt (once again!) and travel through at least Hessen, Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria.  Yippie!!
